Bamberg extends series – Oldenburg dominant

Brose Bamberg is still on the upswing. On Saturday, the Upper Franconians won 85:83 (45:42) at the Löwen Braunschweig and achieved their fourth win in a row.

With that, the team of head coach Oren Amiel climbs to ninth place in the table. Due to their ninth defeat in a row, the Braunschweigers remain at the bottom of the league and have to wait for their first home win.

Patrick Miller advanced to become the Bamberg match winner: the point guard scored nine of his team’s last eleven points, including the final 85:83 winning goal 52 seconds before the end.

With 23 points, Miller was the top scorer of the game. In Braunschweig, national basketball player David Krämer fought back against defeat after surviving an injury with 22 points and eleven rebounds.

Dominant success of the Oldenburg

EWE Baskets Oldenburg consolidated fourth place with a dominant 108:68 (49:38) home win over Syntainics MBC from Weißenfels. With that, the Oldenburg team clinched the highest win of the season so far of any team. Alen Pjanic in particular came up trumps with 31 points, with nine successful three-pointers he equaled the season record of Göttingen’s Mark Smith.

Würzburg defeats Ulm

The Würzburg Baskets won 91:84 (49:36) at ratiopharm Ulm. The guests ended the first quarter with a 14:1 run and were no longer behind from then on. Stanley Whittaker (21 points) and CJ Bryce (20) were the most successful points collectors in Würzburg, while former NBA player and new signing Bruno Caboclo made a good league debut in Ulm with 20 points.
