Axel Clerget in the spotlight during the national vows

This Saturday, January 14, in Paris, at the National Judo Institute, the ceremony of national vows organized by the French Federation is taking place, open to all black belts in France and all high-ranking officers. During this ceremony, two former Haut-Marnais will be honoured. They will receive their red and white belt or 6th dan. Axel Clerget, thanks to his world sports results, will be the third Marnavalais to reach this rank. Another Haut-Marnais, trained at the Langres club and ex-licensed at the Judo-club Marnaval Saint-Dizier 52, expatriated in Alsace, will also be named 6th dan after having passed his national exam last November in Paris. Their ceremonial godfather will be Francis Clerget, 7th dan.

1st junior division regional championships in Bazeilles

On Saturday January 14, in Bazeilles in the Ardennes, the 1st division regional championships of the Champagne basin for juniors will take place. There were no departmental selection tests. This competition is directly selective for the Grand Est championships on February 11. About twenty Marnavalais judokas will be present.

Sunday January 15, in Suippes, the Marne committee is organizing an interdepartmental competition for colored belts. Five Marnavalais will participate.

Lamia Ghannou to shine in Amiens

Also this Sunday, in Amiens, a tournament labeled excellence for juniors is taking place. Lamia Ghannou, in -57 kg, from the Judo-club Marnaval Saint-Dizier 52 and the France pole of Strasbourg is qualified by the Grand Est League as well as Paul Variot-Jeanmaire in -73 kg.

On Sunday, in Chalindrey, the Haute-Marne committee organizes the department’s vows ceremony with the awarding of diplomas for grades from 1st to 4th dan.
