This Wednesday the Serbian tennis player, Novak Djokovic, established a new personal record for the most wins in the same Grand Slam tournament, after beating the Russian Andrey Rublev in the quarterfinals of the Australian Open, thus adding his 87th victory that placed as the favorite candidate to win the title of said tournament.

Djokovic seeks to add his tenth title at the Australian Open, and if he does so, he will become number 1 in the ATP world ranking again, he currently occupies the 5th position in said ranking.

On the other hand, he could match the 22 Grand Slam titles owned by the Spaniard, Rafael Nadal. The Serbian is the only player with more than 80 individual victories in the most important tournaments in the world of tennis, such as the Australian Open, where he has 87, Wimbledon 86, Roland Garros with 85, and 81 at the US Open.

This record is one of the best of all time, and without a doubt they make it worthy of first place in this discipline, however; he must finish his task in Australia to remain the absolute leader in the ranking.
