Borussia Mönchengladbach was fined 30,000 euros by the sports court of the German Football Association for “unsportsmanlike conduct by its supporters”. As the DFB announced on Monday, the fans of the Foals lit “about 30 blinkers” before the start of the Bundesliga game at VfL Bochum, which took place on November 8th. The Gladbachers can use up to a third of the penalty for security or violence prevention measures, which the DFB would have to prove by June 30, 2023.

In any case, the turn signals didn’t have a positive effect on their own team: Bochum led 2-0 early on after a lightning start. Gladbach was no longer able to make up for this deficit and therefore lost 2-1 in the penultimate table.

It is already the fourth fine for Borussia this season. In total, Gladbach had to pay 78,000 euros. Since the club has agreed to the penalty, the verdict is final.
