A great sporting event to start 2023 in the best possible way. From Friday 6 to Sunday 8 January at the PalaOltrepo’ the first edition of the “Trofeo della Befana” is scheduled, an indoor archery competition organized by the Asd Arcieri Voghera, with the patronage of the Municipality of Voghera, Department of Sport. About 160 archers will be protagonists. Lucilla Boari, bronze medalist at the Tokyo 2020 games, world champion Cinzia Noziglia, European vice-champion Vanessa Landi, Olympic champion Tatiana Andreoli, European team champions Federico Musolesi and Alessandro Paoli, as well as to the Vogherese Olympic champion Mauro Nespoli.
Each day has two shifts. The morning program includes the meeting at 8:45 and the start at 9:30, in the afternoon, the meeting at 13:00 and the start at 13:45. In the first three rounds the following divisions are allowed, Olympic, Compound and Barebow. Round 4 is reserved for junior classes, while 5 and 6 for Senior and Master classes. The “Trofeo della Befana” is the first stage of the “Trofeo Città di Voghera 2023”; the other two tournaments are scheduled for November 4th and 5th, December 16th and 17th. At the end of each competition, a decreasing score will be assigned in relation to the absolute placement obtained in the competition (10 points go to the first place, 9 points to the second and 8 points to the third). The sum of the points obtained will give rise to the final classification. The trophy will be awarded to the first overall winner of each category.

On Friday, Saturday and Sunday archers of all ages will be the protagonists, engaged in multiple divisions, in a contest excellently organized by the Asd Arcieri Voghera, a sports association that is highlighting itself with commitment and dedication. In these days, combined with the festive atmosphere of the Epiphany, the presence of world and European champions, of Olympic athletes, gives considerable prestige to the initiative, which we have sponsored as the Municipality of Voghera and which foresees the next two stages, included in the “Città di Voghera 2023 Trophy”, in November and December”.
