A successful general without Otter. The day when Matěj will be ready is coming, said Horváth

Benidorm (from our newsletter) – “Matej has had a few training sessions. We agreed that using it for fifteen minutes would not help him. Moreover, at the end we controlled the game due to the lead rather than pushing forward. So he wouldn’t get into the game much, training was clearly better for him. Of course, we would like him to be fit and ready to play. This is not the case yet. But that day is coming,” Pilsen assistant Pavel Horváth said after the match, with which the Victorians ended their training camp in Spain.

The otter, who came to the Doosan Arena as a free agent, has had a long break. He has not played a game since undergoing cruciate ligament surgery in his knee in May. In Benidorm, he was already fully involved in the training sessions, although the coaches did not let him into the match yet. However, it looks like that moment is approaching. Is there a chance that Vydra will intervene in part of the match with Hradec Králové, with whom the league leader will enter the spring season next Saturday?

“Matěj and I go day by day, he has had a long break. I can’t imagine not kicking a ball for eight months. Even Matěj feels that he is tired in some phases, the control of the ball is then different. It’s about him feeling that he’s okay. He doesn’t think it will last a month, but at the moment it hasn’t been since the start of the match,” Horváth pointed out.

He had to be satisfied with the general. Viktoria was better, except for the opening passage, when goalkeeper Jindřich Staněk missed a great chance. She deservedly won with two goals by Choré’s head. “It wasn’t just about me, the boys put me perfect crosses to the front post. Both Holás (Holík) and Havlis (Havel), my roommate. We had other chances that we could have converted. The match had good parameters from our side, we can take a lot of positives from it for the start of spring,” praised Chorý.
