The project
Come US directive and theASD New Basketball Dese we have a dream today: restructure the field of the San Domenico Savio oratorybut we don’t want to do it alone!
The field is the one bordering the Palladian Villa Cornaro in Piombino Dese (PD) and we want to give it back the splendor of the early 80s: today the floor is not safe, the ball does not bounce, any activity carries a risk of injury and it is a pity that our kids can’t use it.
We therefore organized this fundraiser to get children and teenagers back to play on a renovated basketball court, we want the field to be yours too: choose your favorite reward and help us reach the goal.
Lots of work to do
After 40 years of extensive use by entire generations, the field is in a state of degradation e abandonment. The time has come to give back to the young people of the community an important space for aggregation, sport and socializing and to do this we need your contribution!
The field will be covered in asphalt with a finish made up of special colored resins becoming like an American playground. Only if we reach the goal can the works start in May and the pitch will be available as early as next summer!

Who we are
Il US directive – The Board deals with the financial and organizational management of the San Domenico Savio Oratory within which various realities operate, all united by Christian values, such as sharing, respect, hospitality, being together. The hosted activities range from the Doctrine, to the summer Grest which involves a hundred young people and their families, the Singing Group, the ACR, the ACG, the Fraternitas group. Recently the Oratory offers the possibility to organize birthday parties.
WE it is the first person plural but above all it is a pronoun that concerns us: united in association we have chosen to be together, putting ourselves on the line to cultivate the profound civil, cultural and social passion that unites us.
ASD New Basketball Dese – Nuova Pallacanestro Dese was born out of a group of friends who, after spending years of afternoons playing on the Oratorio court, decided in 1996 to re-found a club to bring competitive basketball back to Piombino Dese. Today the company has 100 mini-athletes in the mini-basketball sector, 60 athletes are involved in youth activities and 15 are part of the senior promotion team. Among managers, coaches and athletes, Nuova Pallacanestro Dese has about 200 members. For two years the Association has been organizing a summer city-camp at the run-down Oratory field.
