During the month of January the Judo Federation of the Valencian Community has participated in four Spanish Cups and in an international championship, obtaining great results at the individual level and by Communities. In chronological order, the The Binefar Senior Spanish Cup was held on January 8where the Valencian Community was secondafter Catalonia, adding three gold medals, two silver and one bronze. Los golds were for Aitana Sala (-78 kg), Carlos Bou (-73 kg) and Kindi Ba (-81 kg); the money was hung Luis Sedano (-66 kg) and Youssef Saloumi (-100 kg)while bronze went to Miguel Arias (-60 kg).
The January 14, the Spanish Cup in Tortosa was held in the Children’s categorywhere the Comunitat Valenciana got the runner-upagain after Catalonia, thanks to the sum of three golds (Marcel Galindo, Estela Díaz and Claudia Carrasco), five silvers (David Doménech, Irene Ballester, Martina Ojeda, Mar Robles and Sara Alonso), and five bronzes (Adrián Vicens, Daren Makoly, Sara Carrasco, Gisela Fernández and Carmen Navarrete ). In the -57 kg category. For women, the first three places on the podium went to judokas from the Valencian Community: Claudia Carrasco García, Sara Alonso Fernández and Carmen Navarrete Gea.
The January 15Tortosa was once again the scene of another great judo competition, the Junior Super Cup of Spainin which The Valencian Community took first place of the classification, followed by Madrid and Catalonia. The Valencian athletes achieved five gold medals (Luis Sedano, Stanislav Rybin, Kindi Ba, Joane Buldain and Marta Solbes), four silver (Carlos Fernández, Youssef Saloum, Anastasia Superson and Claudia Morales) and one bronze (Mar Calderón).
The January 21st the Cup of Spain Cadet del Vendrellwhere the Comunitat Valenciana was classified in fourth positioncon one gold (Adrian Parrilla), four silvers (Alejandro Felio, Luis Francisco Perez, Pablo Calderon and Luis Daniel Stefan) and two bronzes (Pedro Gonzalez and Fabrizio Pinzaru).
Finally, the Valencian Judo Federation attended the same day January 21st to the prestigious Marseille International Championship in the Cadet category, getting two medals, the gold by Aiora Martin in -40Kg and the bronze by Aitana Sala in -78 kg.
