Darius Miles is accused of killing a woman in Tuscaloosa
The University of Alabama player was captured Sunday afternoon
Darius Miles21-year-old basketball player from the University of Alabamawas arrested and charged with the murder of a 23-year-old woman in a shooting in Tuscaloosa (Alabama), according to US media reports.
Miles was arrested by Tuscaloosa police on Sunday afternoon, after Jamea Harris was murdered in the early hours of that same day in the vicinity of the university campus.
“We have learned of the recent accusations against the student-athlete Darius Miles, no longer a part of the Alabama men’s basketball team“The university said in a statement.
The events date back to early Sunday morning, when Jamea Harris was shot and killed while riding in a car together with another person in the area of the university.
Miles was arrested along with 20-year-old Michael Lynn Davisand both are charged with capital murder for shooting at a vehicle, US media report.
