8th stage: Šoltys and Aliyyah Koloc raced over stones and in the dunes

In the eighth stage of the Dakar Rally, the crews of Bugygra ZM Racing successfully completed the second part of the demanding marathon stage. On the track from the temporary bivouac in Davadmí back to Riyadh, Martin Šoltys in the Tatra and Aliyyah Koloc at the wheel of the Buggyra Can-Am DV 21 raced together, both thoroughly enjoyed the battle. Tomorrow, all Dakar participants will have a well-deserved day off, followed by the second half of the competition. After the first one, Jaroslav Valtr is in sixth place after today’s 11th place. Eighth Martin Šoltys is just one place behind him today. Róbert Kasák was 19th after 346 km of the special stage, he is 20th among all truck drivers. Josef Macháček is in the category T3 – Light prototypes just behind the continuous top ten, after the stage’s 20th place, he is in the eleventh position. Today, Aliyyah Koloc finished two positions better than the Dakar doyen, continuously holding on as thirty-fifth. In the Dakar Classic ranking, Radovan Kazarka is still third in his category, after finishing fourth today.
