The Argentine Basketball Confederation (CAB), through its Competition Department, provided details of what will be the next edition of La Liga Federal 2023 and that it will have three confirmed teams from the Pampas: Independiente and Ferro from General Pico along with All Boys from Santa Rosa. The start of the contest is scheduled for next January 28.
With 130 teams from 22 provinces, the Regular Phase will have a total of 1,100 matches. The teams will be divided into 8 zones/regions and these in turn will be divided into two groups. The Regular Phase will be played in 15 weeks, classifying the first two teams to Play Off, ending on May 14.
The teams located from 5th to 8th place will dispute the Play In instance (5th vs 8th and 6th vs 7th, on May 20) and then the two winners will face the teams located in 3rd and 4th position (May 27).
The four finalists from each subzone will play a three-game Playoff (May 31, June 3 and 4), thus obtaining the four winners from each region.
The crosses between regions will be given to the best of three games starting with the 16th Final. The 2023 Federal League finals are scheduled for the end of July.
