We Run Rome 2022, road closures and traffic changes in the center

“We Run Rome'” returns on December 31st, the 10 km road race organized by Atleticom Asa under the aegis of Fidal, now in its eleventh edition.

The route and roads closed

The race starts at 2 pm on Saturday 31 December, with consequent changes to the viability in the light of the route, which involves the Baths of Caracalla and the Circus Maximus passing through the Bocca della Verità, piazza Venezia, via del Tritone, piazza di Spagna, piazza del Popolo , Villa Borghese, via Veneto, piazza Barberini, via del Tritone again, the Tunnel, via Nazionale, via Cavour, via dei Fori Imperiali, via di San Gregorio to reach the finish line once again at the Baths of Caracalla.

Traffic closures and detours in the area are therefore expected before 2pm: via dei Cerchi will be closed from 7am, also thanks to the New Year’s concert at the Circus Maximus, and from 8am the first closures will begin on viale delle Terme di Caracalla.

1 bus diverted

Between 1.15pm and 3.30pm, i.e. during the race, other closures along the route of the event and changes to the road network. From 7 the bus lines 85, 87 and C3 will be diverted. From 8, connections 118 and 628. From 13, then, diversion-limitation for lines H, 3bus, 8bus, 30, 40, 44, 46, 51, 52, 53, 60, 61, 62, 63, 64, 70 , 71, 75, 80, 81, 83, 89, 117, 160, 170, 490, 492, 495, 590, 715, 716, 781, 916 and Free 2 free line.

Specifically, connections 44, 715, 716 and 781 will temporarily move the terminus to Piazza di Monte Savello; 63, 80 and 83 will stop in piazza Barberini/via Veneto; the 60 will limit to piazza dei Cinquecento. Also during the race, lines 100, 119 and Free 1 will be suspended.
