Vaníček and Dlasková finished in Kolín for their first triumphs in the cyclocross cup

Overall, Ťoupalík has only a three-point lead over Vaníček, which he will not defend in the final race in Rýmařov in a week. Instead, he will go to Spain for a two-week training camp.

“After the first races, which I did well, it turned out that I drove more races than originally planned and I kept the lead. But it was not my intention at all,” said the rider of the stable Elkov Kasper in a press release.

Ťoupalík made it to the podium in Kolín for the fifth time out of six starts. “I had a bit more technical problems today. At the start my saddle cracked so I had to change the wheel and I didn’t have it quite right for the whole second lap. Later, when I managed to get to the front, my chain fell off and the first two riders passed me. I couldn’t get back,” said the leader of the series.

In the women’s race, the daughter of former world vice-champion Petr Dlasek won in the finish ahead of Terezá Vaníčková. Kristýna Zemanová, who did not start, continues to lead the cup. Continuously second, Kateřina Douděrová, thanks to the ninth place, reduced the loss to six points.
