Ulises Rodríguez is president of the CO Superior Basketball Tournament of Santiago

EL NUEVO DIARIO, SANTIAGO.-Ulises Rodríguez, general director of Proindustria, was sworn in this weekend as president of the upcoming Superior Basketball Tournament with reinforcements from Santiago, which is scheduled to start on March 10, informed the president of the Association of Basketball of Santiago (Abasaca), José Luis Aracena.

The swearing-in ceremony began with the call for a minute of silence in honor of the recently deceased athlete, José Damián (Bombo) Abreu.

The welcome words were given by the president of Abasaca, José Luís Aracena, who began his speech with the invocation of the Almighty, appreciating the dedication of each one of the executives of the different clubs participating in the fair, then Robinsón Aracena spoke, who is the event director of the entity, where he highlighted the closing with record numbers of the competition calendar with more than 850 games in all its categories, which has produced as a result that this institution is the main sports institution in the Country.

Rodríguez was sworn in during a protocol ceremony in a restaurant in Santiago, where dozens of communicators directly linked to the sports environment met. The oath was taken by the communicator Américo Cabrera, president of the ACDS.

Ulises, who chairs the Organizing Committee of the 43 Tournament, promised to work tirelessly to guarantee the success and development of the event, in which he will place great emphasis on organizational, administrative, logistical, and internal and external security aspects.
