Thompson and Kuminga lead Warriors over Hornets

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Klay Thompson had 29 points and Jonathan Kuminga shined to help the Golden State Warriors beat the Charlotte Hornets 110-105 on Tuesday night.

Thompson made 5 of 12 3-point attempts. He also had five rebounds and four assists.

In a flashy sequence, Kuminga stole a possession and, moments later, grabbed a defensive rebound and dunked on the other end. He made a short jumper from the baseline with 1:22 to go and dunked again with 21 seconds to go. He finished with 14 points and five rebounds.

Jordan Poole had 24 points and six assists at Golden State. Kevon Looney finished with 11 points and nine rebounds.

LaMelo Bell overcame shooting 7-of-25 shooting — 2-of-11 from baseline — to finish with 21 points and 10 rebounds.

Terry Rozier scored 19 points and Mason Plumlee grabbed 13 rebounds for the Hornets, who went 2-4 on a six-game West Coast road trip.
