This World Cup team wants him! New job option for Zinedine Zidane – FOOTBALL

Brazil is looking for a new national coach!

And has apparently now targeted none other than star coach Zinédine Zidane (50). This is reported by “Ok Diario”.

The previous coach of the Seleção, Tite (61), had announced his resignation after losing the World Cup in the quarter-finals against Croatia (3: 5 on penalties). The association has not yet presented a successor to the Brazilian, who has been in office since 2016.

Will Zidane take over now?

The Frenchman has been without a job since leaving Real Madrid in the summer of 2021.

Most recently, however, some media had unanimously reported that Zidane could not become Brazil’s new national coach, but France’s. The Equipe Tricolore continues to be a big favourite.

The contract of the previous coach Didier Deschamps (54), who has been coaching France since 2012 and became world champion with “Les Bleus” in 2018, is now back in the final, expires after the World Cup. Whether it will be extended remains to be seen.

France’s association president Noel Le Graët (80) had spoken out in favor of a contract extension after re-entering the World Cup semi-finals. “The decision is his, I hope he says yes. Finding a coach of this quality is not easy.”

The current Real coach Carlo Ancelotti (63) is also a quality coach. Alongside Zidane, the Italian is also considered a candidate for coaching Brazil’s national team.

“UOL Esporte” reported, referring to association sources, that Ancelotti was first contacted in October. Accordingly, he was open to further talks and concrete negotiations as soon as the post became vacant.

It is questionable, however, whether Ancelotti would really agree. With Real Madrid he is currently coaching one of the biggest clubs in the world, is in second place in the league and is also represented as the defending champion in the Champions League. In addition, his contract with the royals runs until June 2024, after which he actually wants to end his career…
