The struggle of clubs in basketball has started

Turkish Basketball Federation Edirne Big Men’s League started with two matches played on Saturday.
In the new season, the group matches, which will be played in 2 groups as A and B, with the participation of 7 teams from Edirne and 2 teams from Kırklareli, with a total of 9 teams, will end on 25 December.
After the matches to be played between the first and second places of both groups on December 28, 2022, the league will end with the final matches on December 30, and the teams that come in the 1st and 2nd place from the group will be entitled to represent Edirne and Kırklareli in the Basketball Men’s Regional League.
The results of the Group A matches played on Saturday, December 10, were as follows;
Ulusder/Keşan Municipality 79/72
Edirne Youth/Sarachane 66/67
In the first match played in Group B on Sunday, December 11, Baba-eskispor, one of the favorites of the group, managed to beat Madenspor 96/36 and M&M Basketball Academy FSM B team 84/40.
While the Babaeskispor match was being played, as many fans as a bus from Babaeski supported their teams throughout the match.
Babaeskispor head coach Enis Balkan, whom we talked to before the matches, said in a statement; “This year, our application for the Senior Men’s Basketball League in the Kırklareli region was decided to be played in Edirne because there was not enough participation in Kırklareli. We came with the Ulusder team and we will fight in groups in Edirne. We are ambitious, we believe that we will go to the Turkish Men’s Regional Basketball League by leaving the group.”
FSM Club President Sezer Parlak said in a statement; “We joined the league as A and B teams this year. In our A team, we added 9 players from Edirne and 3 players from outside Edirne to our team. Our aim is to participate in the Turkish Basketball Regional League as the A team. As the B team, we will fight with a core team among ourselves, with my friends and teachers, including me, who have devoted themselves to basketball in Edirne. Our aim is to show that basketball is a sport that can be played and enjoyed at all ages. As FSM, we will always continue to be involved in basketball in Edirne and to contribute.”
M&M Basketball Academy Team Coach said the following in a statement at his property in Karadeniz:
As Edirne M&M Basketball Youth and Sports Club, we represented Edirne in the Men’s Basketball Regional League last year. We want to be in this lane this year, if we fight until the end, we have as much claim as any team.
Babaeski and FSM-A are my favorite teams, I can’t say anything because I haven’t seen the Lüleburgaz team. 10 players in our team are children born in 2005-2006, that is, our infrastructure players. 14 of our 18-person squad are in the genes of sports, and people see us as one of the favorite teams because of our habits of winning as a team. However, the situation is not only about winning, but generally when children do sports, their parents think that sports prevent their lessons, we know that this is not the case.
In our team, we have two players who played in Anadolu Efes Youth and are now Doctors and Physiotherapists at the Faculty of Medicine at Trakya University.
We operate this business as a social responsibility project, and we want to show our children and parents who play in the infrastructure that it is possible to reach the goal by doing sports. Among our players, we also have children studying teaching and coaching at Trakya University BEYSO. The next game in the Big Men’s League is important, but not more important than our children’s dreams.
They have to fight to get what they want in life in order to win the matches. We are in this war, I trust my children, we are not one of the favorite teams, we are the place.”
