The Argentine soccer team, which was proclaimed world champion in Qatar this Sunday after beating France in the final on penalties, is already at home, where it was received by a multitude of fans.

At 2:23 p.m. (5:23 GMT) on Tuesday, Aerolíneas Argentinas flight AR1915 carrying the delegation, headed by the president of the Argentine Football Association (AFA), Claudio Tapia, and the Albiceleste coach, Lionel Scaloni , landed at the Ezeiza International Airport, in the province of Buenos Aires.

In the surroundings of the AFA sports complex, close to the aerodrome, tens of thousands of supporters gathered to wait for the arrival of the bus in which the players will enter the premises to spend the night.

Minutes before 3:00 a.m. (6:00 GMT), an exultant Messi with the world champion trophy in his hands along with the coach and the AFA leader were the first to descend from the aircraft and, little by little, they lowered the rest of the members of the ‘Scaloneta’.
