The Lanzarote Raqueta Club faces the S19 and Senior Canary Islands Championship

The Lanzarote badminton club travels to Fuerteventura with 6 players

This coming weekend a delegation from the Lanzarote Raqueta Club will travel to Fuerteventura, to play, on December 17 and 18, the Canary Islands U19 and Senior Badminton Championship.

Six players from the Lanzarote entity will arrive at the Morro Jable Municipal Sports Center accompanied by their coach, Miguel Barbado, with the aim of continuing to grow in their training and fighting in all the matches that are played. Players from Lanzarote will compete, taking advantage of the situation, in various categories.

Adrián Carabali will participate in the S19 men’s singles category, facing Guise Curbelo and Dayron Gutierrez in Group F, and in the doubles modality partnering with his clubmate Daniel Martín. For his part, Daniel, in addition to competing in pairs, will also compete individually, being drawn in group E and having to play with Enrique Socorro and Alessandro Formica.

In the female Under 19 category, Ainara Yoana Olivero and Irene Rodríguez will participate, who will pair up to fight for the regional doubles title. Individually, Ainara Yoana, who is seeded fourth, has been placed in Group D along with Aitana Padrón and Alexia Domínguez. For her part, Irene, who is the number 1 seed, will compete in group A against Daniela Socas and Paula Gutierrez.

Jorge Oliverio Pérez and Francisco Javier Caraballo will fight for the Senior Canary Islands Championship as a couple in the men’s doubles competition and playing individually. Jorge Oliverio has Roberto Cabrera, José Salvador Hernández and Lot Socas as rivals in group B, while Francisco Javier will face Juan Domingo Cabrera, José Miguel Sánchez and José Miguel Hernández in group A.

It will be a very active weekend for the members of the Lanzarote Raqueta Club, fighting to be among the first classified in the regional badminton competition in the Sub19 and Senior categories.
