The illusionist Borja Montón opens this Monday at the Arbolé Theater in Zaragoza the X Zaracadabra Festival

The magician Borja Montón will open this Monday, December 26, the Zaracadabra Festival at the Teatro Arbolé in Zaragoza with his show “Ilusiónate” with two performances: at 12:00 pm –with translation into sign language– and at 6:00 pm.

This magician from León is considered the creator of the largest magic school on YouTube –Domina la magia– with more than a million followers and arrives in Zaracadabra, with the show that has already taken him to tour theaters in Spain, Mexico and Colombia. Now he returns with a new national tour and a renewed show, which is triumphing on the Gran Vía in Madrid. The ticket price is 8.50 euros at the box office or through the web ‘www.teatroarbole.es‘.

“Ilusiónate” is a family show that raises the question of why one loses illusion as one grows up and has a great personal and emotional impact on the viewer.

Borja Montón has worked as a magician and TV presenter of the fun magic show: “Wooala!” (Mediaset) and has written two books to learn magic, both of which are number one on Amazon. He is president of the Spanish Illusionism Society of Madrid and director of the Institute of Magic, the largest online magic school in Spanish in the world, through which more than 10,000 students from different countries have already passed since
2017.

AT THE FIRE MUSEUM

Also this Monday, at 6:00 p.m. in the Museo del Fuego, the illusionist, researcher and writer, Miguel Ángel Gea, who has the First Latin American Prize in 1998 and Magician of the Year in 2000, among other awards, will give the conference “Magic and neuroscience”.

This man from Madrid will take a brief tour of the history of this universe, also called sleight of hand, to finish by revealing some of the psychological principles on which illusionists have relied for hundreds of years to create the inherent deception of magic.

In addition, this Monday at 8:00 p.m., Miguel Ángel Gea will stage the show “Mensajes”, in which he brings together the best magic from his many close-up magic sessions with cards in four acts,
coins and other objects.

THE FESTIVAL

Zaracadabra, the International Festival of Illusionism once again fills the Aragonese capital with magic and dreams from December 26 to 30, 2022 in a very special edition, as it celebrates its tenth anniversary this year.

A total of 11 illusionists will stage 17 shows in 9 spaces in Zaragoza: Plaza del Pilar, the Arbolé Theatre, the Fire Museum, the University Civic Center, the Juslibol Civic Center, the Story Center, the Magical Basement, the Laín Entralgo Senior Center and ASPANOA headquarters, most with free admission.

Zaragoza is again this Christmas the international capital of magic with this festival that aims to bring the world of magic and illusionism to all audiences and dignify this art to the maximum with the participation of the best illusionists in the world, great artists who combine in their shows the magic with the theater.

This tenth edition expands the exhibition spaces to reach the neighborhoods, there will be shows translated into sign language and the representation of a bilingual show (Spanish/English), as well as a workshop for “Little Great Magicians” and the social magic that is expanded to a new space: the ASPANOA headquarters, in addition to the performance that will take place at the Laín Entralgo Senior Center.

As a novelty, the photo contest has been organized on Instagram ‘#zaracadabraenunclic’ and the bases can be consulted ‘ https://www.facebook.com/Zaracadabra/’. A Photomagic has been placed in the Fire Museum for the public to take photos.

OTHER DATES

On Tuesday, December 27, at 11:30 a.m. at the University Civic Center, the Aragonese company Civi-Civiac, World Magic Champion, will hold the workshop “Little Great Magicians” to learn and put into practice magic tricks. It is aimed at children from 7 to 9 years old.

At 6:00 p.m., also at the University Civic Center, the Civi-Civiac company will perform “Clumsiness obliges”, a show with gags, theatrical games, illusionism and a clown that will thrill the viewer.

At 8:00 p.m. on the stage of Plaza del Pilar, Sasha (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and Connie (Argentina) will stage “Fussion”, a large-format couples magic show that captures the public’s attention with a modern form of present great illusions,
fusing them with mentalism and escapism games.

On December 28, Wednesday, at 12:00 noon at the Museo del Fuego, performance by the illusionist Cliff The Magicien (United Kingdom) with the show “Christmas is magic show” (bilingual), full of magic and humor about one of the eras most magical of the year.

At 6:00 p.m., Sasha and Connie will take “Fussión” to the Juslibol Civic Center. At 8:00 p.m., in the Plaza del Pilar, Sara Twister will stage “Ready aim fire show”, born in India and raised on four continents, she is a contortionist and pioneer in wearing the rare shape of the
art of stunts and archery to the streets.

At 10:30 p.m., in the Sótano Mágico, the magician Lautaro (Argentina) will present “With all illusion”, which will perform an illusionism show for all audiences and for spectators to feel different emotions through a variety of disciplines.

THE END

On December 29, it will begin at 12 noon at the Museo del Fuego with a new performance by Sasha and Connie and their show “Fussion”. At 6:00 p.m., at the Centro de Historias, performance by the illusionist Cliff The Magicien (bilingual) with the show “Christmas is magic show”.

At 7:00 p.m., at the ASPANOA headquarters, Rubi Fernández from Aragon will present “Mis movidas”, a show that mixes magic, music and theater in a delicious and attractive way. He has obtained international recognition and awards

In the Plaza del Pilar, at 8:00 p.m., there will be a performance by Los Taps (Madrid), with a show entitled “Taps”, a fusion of gestural theatre, comedy and magic. They are an eccentric couple of artists, a
magician and his assistant, who travel the world performing their shows full of funny situations and incredible visual numbers in a perfect balance.

In the Magic Basement, at 10:30 p.m., Lautaro will present “With all my hopes”; On December 30, at 12 noon at the Laín Entralgo Senior Center, Rubi Fernández will present “Mis movidas” –for residents and family members–. At 6:00 p.m., at the Museo del Fuego, a new performance by Los Taps. At 10:30 p.m., in the Sótano Mágico, the magician Lautaro will present “With all my hopes”.

This edition of Zaracadabra has the collaboration of Teatro Arbolé, Museo del Fuego, Centro Cívico Universidad, Centro Cívico Juslibol, Zaragoza Eventos, El Sótano Mágico and Centro de Historias. He organizes and runs the Civi-Civiac company; and is financed by
Zaragoza City Council.

In the nine previous editions, a total of 141
shows by 91 illusionists and national and international companies, which have reached nearly 75,000 spectators.

Tickets can be purchased at Teatro Arbolé at the price of 8.50 euros at the box office or on the web ‘www.teatroarbole.es‘; In the Museum of Fire, admission is free with an invitation request by calling 976724262 in advance; In the Civic Centers Universidad and Juslibol the workshop is free with prior registration and for the shows admission is free and the invitation must be collected from one hour before until full capacity is reached. In El Sótano Mágico they cost 12 euros; and in the Centro de Historias, admission is free until full capacity is reached.
