The Girondins de Bordeaux assert themselves as a solid dolphin of Le Havre by beating Sochaux

The Girondins de Bordeaux carried out an excellent accounting operation by winning at home against Sochaux (2-1) from whom they won second place on Friday during the 17th day of Ligue 2. This precious success in the race for the Ligue 1 allows the Girondins to one point ahead of their opponents of the day, who fall to third place. Bordeaux, on the other hand, is four lengths behind Le Havre, the leader, who plays on the ground of Paris FC in the evening (9:00 p.m.).

In their Matmut Atlantique, David Guion’s men scored the two goals in two minutes, by the Nigerian Josh Maja (30th) then the Georgian Zuriko Davitashvili (32nd). The first victoriously took over, from close quarters, a corner from Vital Nsimba deflected by a Sochaux defender, and the second deceived Maxence Prevot, the Franc-Comtois goalkeeper, after a magnificent action punctuated by a hook and an unstoppable curling shot . The Sochaliens reduced the mark by Franck Kanouté, with a shot from the outside of the right foot after a header from Gaëtan Weissbeck (59th).

Bordeaux finished the match at ten following the exclusion of young Logan Delaurier-Chaubet (20), who came on six minutes earlier in place of Davitashvili and was guilty of a too high foot which earned him a direct red card (74th). Before the eight matches scheduled for the evening, the day continues at 7:00 p.m. with the meeting between Saint-Etienne (20th) and Caen (7th).
