From judo path to construction industry

How I jumped into the construction industry with no experience

I’ve always liked the program “Great Remodeling!! Dramatic Before After”.longing for architecturewas holding
Also, since my grandfather worked in the steel industry, I was familiar with architecture from an early age.

However, at that time, I liked judo, and I chose judo because I wanted to become an Olympian.

Even after becoming a member of society, I continued judo as a player and aimed for the Rio Olympics and the Tokyo Olympics.

When I saw my juniors like that, I was disappointed, but I decided to retire from judo.

When I asked myself what I wanted to do next after retiring…Next time I want to do “what I like” and “what I’m interested in”That’s what made me want to go into the construction industry.

However, it was quite a challenging decision because I had to start from zero after I turned 25.The driving force at that time was“I want to do what I love!”That’s what I thought.

I jumped into the construction industry with such feelings of “like” and “admiration” in my heart.

Joining background

When I was involved in a project as a construction manager in my previous job, I met with my seniors at Yale.

I was overwhelmed by the knowledge and skills of the seniors who were working as site supervisors on the project at the time, and I thought, “I want to be like this” and “I want to stand shoulder to shoulder with this person.”

That encounter was the catalyst for my career change.
I decided to change jobs because I wanted to work under such a senior.

This will be discussed at a later date, but it seems that the senior also appreciated my attitude toward construction management.
A senior who rarely compliments other people said such a thing, so it seems that the company was a little noisy.smile
I was very happy to hear that story.

The deciding factor for joining the company wasI want to be like my senior who is a role model!andhomely environmentis the best decision.

It’s really warm to welcome you like family, including the president.

Job Description

Currently, I am in charge of site management as a construction manager.

What do you think as a construction manager?“Set-up and preparation” comes firstabout it.

This is because the on-site supervisor makes arrangements so that the craftsmen can easily move while emphasizing the schedule (process) and safety.

My mission is to ensure that everyone involved in the project can move smoothly while grasping the overall flow.

Following judo, I jumped into the construction industry with the feeling of “like” in my heart.

Of course, there are times when things are difficult, but I think the reason I can keep going is because I have a fundamental feeling of “I love you”.

To the construction industry where men and women can work

on-site

Go out to the site…Construction managementA place where women can play an active roleAs such, I think there is hope.

In fact, many female employees are activeand alreadyArchitectural relations = the world of menI realize that it’s gone.

To put it in detail, there are still many problems to be solved, but I think the first step is to get many people involved in the construction industry, which is said to be understaffed, and to have them experience it.

So, when thinking about the future of the construction industry, I think we should work on it regardless of gender.
I would like to become a role model for female construction managers.

rewarding work

Yale can be dispatched to various sites, so you can work with a wide variety of companies from major companies.

Also, as a construction manager, it is very rewarding to be able to see the process of building a building from a place where there was nothing.
The process of turning what was once a vacant lot into a buildingis really inspiring.
Also, I like the fact that you can get into places that you normally can’t enter, such as the roof of a building, by engaging in construction work!smile

Future goals

my final goal isarchitectIt is to be involved in design work as

In order to become an architect, I am currently gaining experience as a construction manager in order to grasp the whole.

It is not an easy path to become an architect, which is my goal, but first of all, I would like to acquire knowledge and experience on site, acquire qualifications, and achieve my goals.

If I can successfully become an architect, I would like to design houses where people can live comfortably.
