Morocco qualified for the semi-finals of the FIFA World Cup by defeating Portugal 1-0 in the quarter-finals late Saturday afternoon at Al-Bayt stadium in Doha. The only goal of the game was scored by Youssef En-Nesyri in the 42nd minute.
Dominating most of the meeting, the Portuguese broke their teeth on the organization of the Atlas Lions. Thanks to this success, Morocco becomes the first African nation to reach the semi-finals of a football World Cup. En-Nesyri thanks to his goal and Bono with decisive saves at the end of the match were the great architects of this new Moroccan exploit.

Morocco will meet the winner of France-England, clash of the round of 16 scheduled for this evening at 8 p.m. The semi-final will be played on Wednesday at 8 p.m.
