The Edmond Lescarbault fund, “discoverer” of the planet Vulcan, is enriched at the Châteaudun media library

“I would regret that after me many things that I own fell into indifferent hands”, wrote in 1880 Edmond Lescarbault to his astronomer friend Camille Flammarion. His scientific objects, books and manuscripts are kept at the media library and at the Museum of Fine Arts and Natural History in Châteaudun, which perpetuate the memory of this astonishing doctor from Dunois (1814-1894), famous for his ephemeral discovery of the planet Vulcan. in 1859.
