The beautiful story between Matt Ryan and the Lakers is over

In the Los Angeles Lakers’ moribund start to the season, Matt Ryan was a small bright spot. His buzzer shot to take the team into overtime against New Orleans had alone justified his integration into the workforce, after crossing the desert (he had found himself delivering and cleaning in a cemetery) that we told you. Unfortunately, the story between Ryan and the Lakers is over.

From Shams Charania of The Athletic, the franchise has just cut Matt Ryan, with a view to releasing a spot before December 15, when some players can legally be traded. Since November 8 and a match with 17 minutes on the clock, the 25-year-old had to settle for starving playing time, despite his 38% 3-point range since the start of the season.

We will watch for the next move of the Lakers, who clearly have an idea behind their heads, they whose record is now 8 wins for 12 losses. The Californians are two wins from the top 10 in the Conference and therefore from virtual participation in the play-in tournament.

We obviously hope for Ryan that he will find another base in the NBA, within a team that will be able to value his external address and the tenacity that led him to the NBA after his adventures.
