The badminton club is fine

“An almost normal post-Covid season. There has been no loss of members but they are less regular. We have largely maintained the workforce, however there is a lack of activity on the ground, it is a bit of a shame, ”said Laurent Chassin, president of the badminton club since 2019.

The club will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2023

He then presented the moral report: “Despite everything, the club is doing well. We remain a sports club in leisure mode and the numbers are increasing, we have gone from eighty members over the last season (2021-22) to 98 at the start of the school year in September”.

“The spirit remains friendly, the atmosphere warm and, importantly, we will celebrate the club’s 20th anniversary in 2023,” he added.

On the operational side, the discipline is practiced on the five courts of the Aurélien-Hatton gymnasium, rue du Coin-Chaud, during two weekly sessions with an extended time slot on Tuesday evening, from 6.30 p.m., instead of 8 p.m. absorb the crowds, until 11 p.m., as well as on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. And, this year, the club has set up a “bad’en famille” slot on Saturday mornings. Finally, friendly tournaments and sporting events will resume in early 2023.

The moral report, the report on sporting and extra-sporting activities as well as the financial report, which mentions an unchanged subscription rate, were adopted unanimously. The same applies to the renewal of one third of the members of the office.
