The blues are already preparing the demanding final of the first round that will take them to face Murcia and Real B

After a few days of well-deserved rest, Amorebieta returned to training this Monday to prepare for the demanding final of the first round that awaits Haritz Mujika’s team. Real Murcia, at Enrique Roca, and Real Sociedad B, at Urritxe, are the two tough rivals that remain for the zornotzarras to complete this first half of the competition, who want to finish successfully and settle in the noble zone of the table .

A fight in which his next two rivals are also fully involved. The Murcian team, a historic club, yearns to return to professional football after several seasons in ostracism. The paprikas are in third place with 29 points, three above Amorebieta, which closes the play-off zone.

The Biscayans will close the first round in Urritxe, a fortress in which they will try to maintain their good numbers against an always complicated Real Sociedad B. The San Sebastian subsidiary, one point behind the zornotzarras, is maintaining a great regularity that is allowing them to flirt in an important way with those positions that give the option to fight for promotion.

With those two matches already on the near horizon, Amorebieta will have four preparatory sessions this week. It will do so from today Monday -in the evening- until Thursday. On Friday (11:30 a.m.) it will be the turn for a friendly match against Portugalete in La Florida.

The center-back Beñat Garro left the pitcher team before the Christmas break after breaking ties with Amorebieta after not having had a single minute in the league. He is not the only player with a recent past in Urritxe who now plays in the ranks of those on the left bank. Gualdinegra’s squad also includes Beñat Leiza and, especially, the incombustible Mikel Álvaro, who at 40 continues to enjoy football.

After the clash in La Florida, the zornotzarras will once again enjoy a couple of days off to say goodbye to the year and recharge their batteries for what is coming their way in the coming weeks.
