Racket lovers have a very special date in Valladolid with three important events that will take place in the city from Thursday, December 8 to next Sunday, December 10.
The first is the national tennis festival that consists of a match between “two legends”, as defined by the mayor of Valladolid, Óscar Puente. In this, Feliciano López and Roberto Bautista will compete. In principle, it was planned that David Ferrer would face Feliciano but due to an “untimely injury” he had to be replaced. Roberto Bautista occupies the ATP ranking, a “top 20 in the world”. This meeting will be held tomorrow, Thursday, December 8 at 7:00 p.m. in the Pilar Valderrama Pavilion. A match that has been sold out for 15 days. For this reason, a “privileged atmosphere, a great party” is expected.
On the other hand, the second major event that invades the capital is the RFET Amateur Circuit National Master. This is “the biggest amateur national tennis event” that will bring together some 250 players, who are the 8 best rackets in each category of all the tests on the national circuit and the 3 highest-ranked male and female tennis players from each federation territorial. It will take place on December 8 and 10 at the Covaresa Municipal Tennis Complex.
Finally, the Mapfre 2022 National Future Master will also be held. Eight of the best male and female rackets in the country will participate in it. It is the fourth edition to be held on the 10th and 11th of December at the Pilar Fernández Valderrama Pavilion.
World Padel Tour Valladolid
Regarding the World Padel Tour Valladolid for next year 2023, the mayor assures that the amount “is approved” and, therefore, it will be held in the capital. However, the truth is that by 2024 it is “up in the air” because another circuit has been made with the rights of some high-level players.
Despite this, this 2023 will be held at the end of June or the beginning of July.
