Tarteletto-Isorex throws lifeline to Timothy Dupont: “Prove I’m not written off” | cycling

Timothy Dupont has found shelter at Tarteletto-Isorex in the nick of time. “I am very grateful to team boss Peter Bauwens for this opportunity,” responds our 35-year-old compatriot.

Timothy Dupont was told by Bingoal-Pauwels Sauzen-Wallonie Bruxelles in the autumn that he had to look for other places.

A blow to 35-year-old Dupont, who had to say goodbye to his father and both parents-in-law earlier this year.

The Belgian sprinter gave himself until December 1 to find a new team. Tarteletto-Isorex saw potential in Dupont and both parties came to an agreement.

“If you see that so many riders from B&B Hotels suddenly end up on the street, then I knew that not many other offers would come out,” Dupont responds.

“I am very grateful to Peter Bauwens (the team boss of Tarteletto-Isorex) for this opportunity.”

“We ride a nice program with competitions such as Nokere Koerse, the Bredene Koksijde Classic and the Grand Prix Jean-Pierre Monseré. All races that are made for me.”

Dupont is excited to prove Bingoal-Pauwels Sauzen-Wallonie Bruxelles wrong. “Despite everything, I still achieved good results this year. Next season I want to show that I can still do it and have not been written off.”
