Superstar on his knees in front of Giannis: “I want to play with him”

Leader of one of the league’s top franchises, Giannis Antetokounmpo continues his wrecking business across the NBA. Enough to make a big name salivate, who would see themselves teaming up with him to get a champion ring!

By dint of trivializing the incredible, he is paying the price in the MVP race. Already doubly crowned in his career, Giannis Antetokounmpo could grab the prize again this season. His individual averages (32.1 points, 11.1 rebounds, 5.6 assists), as well as the results of the Bucks (18 wins, 6 losses), allow him in any case to take part in the battle. And to give birth to some desires among his rivals.

Giannis openly flirted with by a rival big star

Several league stars have already suffered the wrath of Giannis this season, including Damian Lillard. The Greek Freak had not given the Blazers any gifts for their visit to the Fiserv Forum, compiling no less than 37 points in 35 minutes of playing time. A vision which the leader no doubt recalled during his recent interview for GQ Sportswhere he rightly honors his adversary:

If I have to choose a player to win a title, I want to play with Giannis. If only for his domination, his ability to drive to the basket, his talents as a playmaker, defender, the intimidation he brings… His way of playing fits in well with mine. I would offer something that complements what it is capable of, and vice versa.

More focused on outside shooting than his Greek counterpart, Dame would indeed represent a perfect complement to Giannis. At the same time, the latter’s size, deterrence and physique wouldn’t hurt a Blazers away from being a Larry O’Brien Trophy contender right now. Its insertion in the five major of Chauncey Billups would on the other hand make it a group not to be neglected.

Lillard, Anfernee Simons, Jerami Grant, Giannis, Jusuf Nurkic: a sacred alloy of talent which would undoubtedly cause great misery in the West. Difficult indeed to find a more frightening lineup within the conference, however very raised. Unfortunately for Portland and its star, it would seem that the double MVP of the Bucks is well established in Milwaukee, with whom he remains under contract possibly until 2026!

Still looking for a title with the Blazers, Damian Lillard dreams of seeing Giannis Antetokounmpo come and help him in his task. After all, what sane star would refuse to be accompanied by the Greek Freak given his stratospheric level?
