Striker Kozák ended up in Slovácko after an agreement with the management

Kozák came to Uherské Hradiště in June from the Hungarian Puskás Academy. The club looked for him as a reinforcement for the start in European cups, but the native of Opava ended up playing only 15 competitive matches for Slovácko in the fall and scored two goals.

Therefore, the club has now agreed with the 33-year-old forward to terminate the contract early. “He didn’t play all the matches and both the club and the player felt that it wasn’t quite the same,” said Slovácko’s sports director Veliče Šumulikoski.

In addition to Slovácko, Kozák also played for Opava, Liberec or Sparta in the top competition. With 14 goals in the Leten team jersey, he became the league’s best scorer together with Petar Musa in the 2019/2020 season.

Kozák also played abroad for Livorno, Bari, Aston Villa, Brescia and Lazio Rome, with whom he won the Italian Cup twice. In the 2012/2013 season, he was the top scorer in the Europa League with eight goals.
