Spanish basketball celebrates at the Endesa headquarters the nine medals of an unforgettable summer

Spanish basketball celebrated the nine medals won in 2022, in the nine world and European games in which it participated, during an event held at the Endesa headquarters that was attended by Rudy Fernández, captain of the senior team. José Bogas, CEO of Endesa, and Jorge Garbajosapresident of the Spanish Basketball Federation who turned 45 on Monday and to whom “happy birthday” was sung, were the hosts of the event in which representatives of all the champion and runner-up teams were also present.

“It is the home of basketball and we are proud of it. It’s easy because of what you convey to us. The effort, the responsibility of everyone is incredible. The successes may or may not come, but the great success is not the medals but the values that are transmitted”, said Bogas.

“For us, the medals must be a consequence and that they represent us in the way that all the teams do means that we cannot ask for more,” said Garbajosa. “The present lasts as long as it lasts and for me, the greatest thing is that when nobody believed in them they fought until the final victory. That is why the most important thing is the legacy”, continued the president of the FEB.
