With a trajectory of 17 years in national American football, Ramon Martire started playing on the beaches of Rio de Janeiro and won two titles in Rio de Janeiro for the Redlions. In 2009, the athlete made the transition to grass and started playing for Rio de Janeiro Imperadores, which today is Flamengo. In addition to the red-black team, Martire also defended the colors of Botafogo Reptiles (2015 to 2018) and Coritiba Crocodiles (2019).

At Flamengo Imperadores, Ramon Martire was twice national champion in 2009 and 2010 and was also called up in all camps of the Brazilian national team and games until 2018. Recently, the experienced quarterback reached the mark of 130 passes for touchdowns in FABR.

Another important legacy of Martire for the FABR is the Rio Football Academy, which he founded together with Patrick Dutton, and is one of the biggest grassroots projects in oval ball sport in the country.

Linerbacker Bruno Briizante, former Corinthians Steamreallers, and offensive lineman Kongo, who has played for Gators Football and Tomahawk FA, also join the team. Briizante was the SPFL’s 2019 Defensive MVP and also has spells with Mooca Destroyers.

Spartans Football partnership

The Group Six sponsorship was announced by Spartans Football last week and promises to revolutionize the team’s activities. The partnership will provide new infrastructure for the Touchdown Training Center; health program; physical and better program, no monthly fees, no travel costs; and at no other cost to play on the team.

In an interview for the Salão Oval website, the team’s president, Rodrigo Feo, highlighted that “with the partnership, we are going to invest in the infrastructure of the CTT, which will gain mobile stands and commercial space. In addition, athletes will no longer have to pay to play and nor monthly fees, in addition to medical follow-up through nutritionists, cardiological and neurological exams, with periodic check-ups every six months”, he stressed.
