The Shinhyup will support operating expenses for school sports groups that are not popular or have high growth potential, such as the Muju High School biathlon team and the Jeju Joongang High School soccer team.

The Credit Union Federation announced on the 20th that it held a ‘regional sports organization sponsorship ceremony’ to revitalize local sports organizations and nurture sports dreamers.

The ‘School Sports Group Sponsorship Project’, which is in its fourth year this year, is a social contribution project that sponsors school sports groups that are not popular or have high growth potential, starting with the Daegu High School badminton club in 2019.

The credit union supports the dreams of players who strive to achieve good results in a poor environment, and supports sports items and equipment so that they can develop their skills in a better environment. This year, a total of 150 million won, including operating expenses for sports groups, will be provided to 12 schools across the country, including the Muju High School biathlon team and the Jeju Jungang High School soccer team.

Kim Yun-sik, chairman of the Credit Union Federation, emphasized, “The Credit Union has continued to support sports dreamers to become a hope for marginalized and difficult places.”

Meanwhile, athletes from 12 regional sports organizations nationwide selected for this year’s project will publicize the credit union through uniforms sponsored by the credit union and spread the spirit of sharing through sports.
