The modern NBA is often the scene of fashion shows for its players, displaying more or less… conventional styles. And if the style of some continues to question, others are really unanimous, to the point of ending up in world fashion rankings.

Absolutely incredible every night on the pitch, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander also knows how to surprise with his style at every entrance at the Paycom Center at Chesapeake Energy Arena (shit) and other NBA venues. Always inventive, without going crazy like his predecessor Russell Westbrook did (from whom Shai admits to having been enormously inspired), the arrivals of the Canadian guard are all opportunities for Thunder fans to fill their fashion wishlist. And this time, the style of SGA has been validated in a very official way (not) by a poll of the magazine GQ.
The list was however full, and the course not so easy for the Canadian star. In the first round of the Style Playoffs, we found the player opposed to his compatriot, actor and humorist Seth Rogen. At the same time, le King LeBron James himself s’inclinait already facing the miniature rapper Kendrick Lamar… a harbinger of the result of the Lakers this season? (Roh vaaa, we’re kidding). Second round for SGA therefore, which finds there a Franco-American in the person of Timothée Chalamet. A hung duel, but ultimately to the advantage of the Oklahoma flash. It also goes against guitarist Steve Lacy in the semis (the Conference Finals of the style what) and Shai finds at the top a very serious competitor in the person of A$AP Rocky. After his victory, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander becomes the most stylish man on the planet according to GQ. The poor rapper (and incidentally companion of Rihanna) fails for his part in second place for the second consecutive year.
In the absence of the title of MVP, which seems complicated to achieve for the new king of the drip despite his 31.2 points on average this season, this reward may console the Thunder star… Legend even says that Sam Presti would have slipped Shai a “I told you I would win you a title”…
