Under the leadership of their president, Michel Perrin, the many members or representatives of the 11 archery clubs of the Haute-Loire affiliated to the departmental committee held their traditional general assembly, in the premises of the Pierre-Cardinal center.
As the activity report pointed out, despite a difficult start at the start of the season in the clubs, due to health restrictions, the workforce remained stable with more than 300 members (compared to more than 400 in 2020). This situation, which also impacted the competitions, led to a drop in participants on several meetings such as the various finals: in Espaly-Saint-Marcel, in Monistrol-sur-Loire, in Saint-Just-Malmont or even in Aurec. -sur-Loire.
However, this season has allowed the setting up of youth courses which have worked well, as well as the creation of a young group of ten archers. On the campaign side, the committee is still looking for a place that can be managed by a club in parallel with the support of the committee. Previously, several medals were also awarded to archers by the CDOS.
On the project side, here again, the committee will prove its dynamism by organizing various competitions, internships, moments reserved for coaches, the departmental challenge, mixed tournaments, etc. For the courses, two days are already planned on April 22 and 23, supervised by a professional in the discipline.
Finally, the development of the committee will go through an associative development plan which will allow, over several years, to have a guideline. From next year, the committee will also undertake to present young people from its internships to the region and will work on its staff by targeting the difficulties that clubs may encounter.
