The Purple basketball back to success. The people from Reggio, burned by the away knockout against Monfalcone, play an excellent match against former Salvatore Genovese’s Bergamo Basket and collect the two points for the second time this season. The tally is still meager (2 victories in 11 races), but winning gives confidence and allows us to look at a not exactly excellent classification with greater optimism.
The queens remain last to 4 points, but one victory away from the Sicilians (with Capo d’Orlando-Ragusa to recover) and two from Brianza Casa Basket and Petrarca Padova who won the direct match (and Bergamo who lost it). Two races like those against Desio and Monfalcone, lost only in the final, would allow today to see the standings with greater confidence. But the championship is still long.
Even the Sicilians know it who, as mentioned, are certainly not faring any better. Trio of defeats for the islanders: Palermo falls on the field of LuxArm Lumezzane, Capo d’Orlando ko in Crema, Ragusa surrenders at home against Petrarca Padova. At the top Mestre wins the big match with Orzinuovi and climbs to first place with San Vendemiano victorious against Brianza Casa Basket.
