Ronnie Hillman, Super Bowl winner, dies at 31

The NFL woke up this Thursday with sad news. Ronnie Hillman, a player who spent five years in the league, has died at the age of 31. The American was diagnosed with kidney cancer last August and the treatment that was applied failed to save his life.

The brightest chapter of Hillman’s career was his victory in 2016, when the Denver Broncos he played for won Super Bowl 50. The runner participated in that game carrying the ball on five occasions, fulfilling the duties of substitute ‘running back’ to which he was accustomed.

Hillman, selected in the third round of the 2012 Draft by the Broncos, he spent his first four years in the NFL with Denver. In 2016 he participated in games with the Minnesota Vikings and the San Diego Chargers, and the following year he was left without a place in the league after being cut by the Dallas Cowboys.
