Roger Federer was recently in London to get another look at his injured knee. Afterwards, the 41-year-old Swiss wanted to visit Wimbledon, the place where he achieved countless successes. Although Federer did not just get into the All England Club.

Federer and his coach arrived at the entrance to Wimbledon, but Federer, who stopped in September, encountered a woman from security who did not recognize him. “Do you have a membership card?” she asked me. You apparently become a member of Wimbledon if you ever win the tournament. I didn’t know anything about that, the card was probably at home somewhere, but I told her that I didn’t have one, but that she could let me in because I am indeed a member,” Federer said at The Daily Show.

But the woman did not want to budge and continued to insist on valid proof. “I panicked a bit, but then I said something that I still don’t feel quite right about: I won Wimbledon eight times. Trust me, I’m a member,” Federer tried again.

But that also remained without result for the twenty-time grand slam winner, who was recognized by another guard a little further on. He let Federer in without delay.
