Regional League East – coming and going in Siegendorf

Right-back Petar Gluhakovic played stripping for district rivals in spring 2022 before moving to Bruck in the summer. Now in winter, ASV Siegendorf has already agreed with the defender, the contract has already been signed. “Petar approached us and said he had another offer,” said Krenmayr.

Although Siegendorf could have insisted on the contract in this case, it was agreed that the contract would be terminated. Now he slips on the jersey of FC Marchfeld, as sports director Ernst Baumeister explained: “We wanted to do something in the position and as soon as we heard about Bruck, I got in touch with him.”

Gluhakovic: “Mannsdorf known and successful”

The 26-year-old has a lot of experience, has eleven Bundesliga and 13 second division games for Wiener Austria on his CV and has also played in Croatia and Romania. He was also an Austrian youth national team player from U16 to U21. He is looking forward to a new chapter in his career: “If we talk about the Regionalliga Ost, Mannsdorf is a well-known and quite successful team. From a sporting point of view, I find it a good position in the regional league.”

He likes it in Siegendorf and wants to help the club stay in the league.” Peter Krenmayr President of ASV Siegendorf on Leo Tompte’s extension

He brings up another reason for his decision: “Then there’s the fact that it’s professional business and that’s pretty important to me because I’m not used to it any other way. I know a lot of players there and I know firsthand that there is a good atmosphere and that is very important for success.”

Speaking of success: The former Austrian wants to attack with his new team in the spring: “My personal goal is to help the team. We definitely want to win as much as possible and will go into every game like that – and improve our place in the table.”

At ASV Siegendorf, on the other hand, the goalkeeper position compensated for the departure of Matijas Schreiber, whose contract was terminated after the autumn season. With Matej Mydla, a 24-year-old goalie is coming back to Burgenland. The Slovak moved from Neusiedl to Kottingbrunn and now to Siegendorf in the summer.

“Together with Sebastian Gessl we now have two one-goalies,” said President Peter Krenmayr. So it looks like a duel for the post in Siegendorfer Tor. The ASV has also struck again on the transfer market for the defensive. Slovakia’s Michal Obročník comes in for defensive midfield.

The clearer has been playing for FC Petrzalka in the second Slovakian league since January 2021. The 31-year-old was previously active at clubs such as Slovan Liberec and Sigma Olmütz. Obročník can play both as a midfielder and as a right-back. Siegendorf’s club boss is happy about the new signing, who only signed at the beginning of the week: “He’s a real fighting machine.” Coach Marek Kausich made the contact. Goalgetter Leo Tompte’s contract has also been extended by one year until 2024. “He likes it very much in Siegendorf and he wants to help the club stay in the league,” said Krenmayr.

Section head Harald Mayer has also taken up the fight against a serious illness. “All of us in the club wish him a lot of strength, confidence and a speedy recovery during this difficult time,” said Krenmayr, representing the entire ASV Siegendorf.
