Pro League meets fans’ sighs: no more football at 9 p.m. on Sunday | Jupiler Pro League

The games on Sunday evening at 9 p.m. have long been a thorn in the side of supporters, especially fans of the visiting clubs. By shifting the time slot, the Pro League now meets the sighs of the supporters.

“In recent months, we have entered into a dialogue with our fans. We sat around the table with, among other things, the supporters’ federation Belgian Supporters, the SLOs, various supporters’ representatives, the calendar manager, our clubs and Eleven Sports,” says Pro League CEO Lorin Parys.

“Together we agreed that we could allow the fans in the stadium and at home to enjoy our competition better by moving the Sunday evening slot forward. I think it is important that we continue to listen to our fans, which is why we have decided to maintain a permanent dialogue with our organizing supporters.”

Eddy Janssis, the chairman of Belgian Supporters, is delighted with this decision. “It is important for us as a supporters federation to be able to talk to the Pro League about the themes that concern football in general and the supporter in particular”, it sounds.

“The Sunday evening slot became more and more a theme for the supporters. We are pleased that we were able to contribute to this and that both Eleven Sports and the Pro League have started working constructively on this. This strengthens the dialogue between fans and all parties in football.”
