Pelé: Football legend’s health ‘continues to improve’

The triple world champion was hospitalized on November 29 for a reassessment of his chemotherapy treatment followed after the detection of a colon tumor in September 2021.

Two of his daughters, Kely Nascimento and Flavia Arantes, have multiplied messages on social networks to reassure fans after rumors of a deterioration in his state of health. On Monday, Kely Nascimento, who lives in the United States, posted two photos of her at Albert Einstein Hospital in her Instagram stories. On one of them, we can see his hand holding that of his father, with the caption: “I have arrived”.

The “King” of football has published several messages in recent days on social networks, in particular comforting the stars Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo after the eliminations of Brazil, then Portugal, at the World Cup-2022. In particular, he asked Neymar, long presented as his successor, to “continue to inspire“, hoping that the Paris SG striker does not give up defending his national team. Pelé has received many messages of support since his hospitalization, in particular from the French star Kylian Mbappé, who called for “pray for the king“.
