Andries Noppert makes an excellent impression under the bar with the Orange at the World Cup in Qatar. Several football analysts see the goalkeeper of SC Heerenveen quickly make a transfer after the World Cup. Ajax is regularly mentioned as a possible new destination, but there has been no concrete interest to date. Noppert himself only wants to look further after the World Cup.
Opposite it General Journal Noppert denies that Ajax would be interested in him. “Well, I don’t know anything about it anyway. Yep, I’m not thinking about that at all. We’ll see what can or can’t happen to me after this World Cup. Heerenveen can contractually determine what they want with me.”

Noppert wants to focus on the World Cup for the time being and remains sober under all the attention he receives. “Of course I think that’s wonderful and it remains a special story that I’m standing here. But somehow you get used to it. Whether it’s at Heerenveen or at the Orange against Argentina and Messi; they expect you to stop the balls. In that sense, nothing changes.”
The goalkeeper says he has not once been able to enjoy the presence and states that he is quite lived during the tournament. But taking a break in between, Noppert doesn’t like it either. “When other players take a nap in the afternoon in their room, I just walk back and forth in the hotel. Let me be busy. But I also find it difficult to enjoy. I think it will only dawn on me after this World Cup how beautiful it really was.”
