Two Argentine players, Lisandro Martinez and Lautaro Martinez, had an argument with the tall Dutch striker. Weghorst himself could be seen pointing back.
In that moment, Aguero intervened. The former Argentina striker joined in to calm the commotion.
Reportedly, the moment happened because Weghorst was annoyed with Messi. The Argentina captain shouted at him even though he was being interviewed. “What did you see, Bobo?” said Messi, who got distracted from his interview when he shouted at Weghorst.
After defeating the Netherlands, Argentina itself advanced to the semifinals. Next, the Albiceleste will face Croatia, with the match to be held at the Lusail Iconic Stadium, Lusail, 13 December.
