NBA: Wagner brothers shine – LeBron continues to chase an all-time record

The German NBA brothers Moritz and Franz Wagner from the Orlando Magic have won again. Meanwhile, Lakers star LeBron James is still on course for a record in the NBA.

The German basketball brothers Moritz (25) and Franz Wagner (21) continue to ride the wave of success with the Orlando Magic in the NBA. Two days after the first surprise success at the same place (117:109), the team also won against runner-up Boston Celtics on Sunday with 95:92 (50:41).

The talented Magic recorded six straight wins for the first time since 2019 after losing nine straight games. Both Wagner brothers were on the starting grid and put in solid performances.

Franz, who sank an important three just two minutes before the end, came up with twelve points and six rebounds – Moritz secured the win late at the free-throw line and contributed eleven points and five rebounds.

In the Celtics, who had to do without superstar Jayson Tatum (24) due to injury, Jaylen Brown (26) convinced with 24 points. For Orlando, the Atlanta Hawks will continue on Tuesday night.

NBA: LeBron James chases all-time points record

The Lakers have won three of their last four games. Not only that, but an NBA record that has long been unbreakable is also likely to be broken soon.

Thanks to the 33 points, LeBron James has moved a little closer to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (75), who leads the list with the most NBA points with an incredible 38,387 points.

If the 37-year-old superstar from Los Angeles can keep his points average from this season, the record would probably fall in January or February 2023. After Sunday’s performance against the Washington Wizards, the point guard is just 732 points short of the Holy Grail of the NBA world. (sid, book)
