Brothers among themselves!
The Germans NBAStars Franz (21) and Moritz (25) Wagner now give their fans special insights into their lives. How’s the personal relationship, how’s it going on the pitch?
During an appointment, the German internationals chatted about their brother relationship from the sewing box. Moritz, who is four years his senior, said: “We have a healthy relationship in which there are sometimes arguments. We grew up in a household that showed us that this can also be productive.”
And how is the brothers communication on the pitch? Best in German!
The two Orlando Magic shooting stars usually make arrangements in their native language. “Of course it depends on whether others should hear it or not, but mostly they shouldn’t hear it and then we’ll talk German,” smiled Franz.
Moritz added about his brother as a teammate: “I have the advantage that I can compare it and therefore know what it can be like without a sibling in the team and how valuable that is.”

Of course, the negative series of the Orlando Magic was also discussed during the appointment. NBA youngster Franz Wagner believes in success despite past bankruptcies. “The results will come eventually if we keep working hard,” said the younger of the two German brothers. “We have good guys who always want to get better.”
The Orlando Magic narrowly lost their last game 102-109 to the Milwaukee Bucks – their ninth game in a row. The young national player was the best thrower on his team with 25 points. The 21-year-old attaches the negative series to various aspects. “We always have a lot of injuries and that means new people in the line-up. It’s difficult for a young team to be consistent,” he said.
But the younger Wagner brother found other reasons. “In some games we weren’t focused enough and didn’t have the physique to win.” But he is positive that the turnaround is coming.
The Wagner brothers play together for the Orlando Magic in the NBA. While the older brother Moritz is playing his fifth season in the best basketball league in the world, it is Franz Wagner’s second season. Moritz Wagner was previously able to shine as a shooting star with the Los Angeles Lakers, Washington Wizards and Boston Celtics.
