Multicultural badminton competition couple players “I’m getting better”

Participated in a competition co-hosted by Yonhap News and Goyang City on the 10th

Hong-Min Son, winner of the 2014 invitational couple’s doubles event, said, “Conflicts and quarrels between couples exist not only in multicultural couples, but also in Korean couples.

Son has a high level of skill, such as winning runner-up in the men’s singles in 2015 and winning the men’s singles in 2016.

Chen Yixuan (陳怡玉+旋) from Taiwan and Kim Min-sik, who competes in the couple’s doubles, said, “My wife, who has been in Korea for 3 years, started playing badminton because I thought it might help her escape from loneliness and speak Korean better.” missed the first game and was eliminated, but this year, one win is the goal.”

Mr. Kim said, “I hope that through exercise, I will have more conversations with Korean people, improve my Korean language skills, and have vitality in my life.”

Mr. Park, who is from Russia, has been developing his skills while enjoying badminton as a sport with his husband since 5 years ago.

When we heard that there were many outstanding participants in this competition, Mr. Park said, “I will put the significance of participating in it.”

Mr. Park added that he would recommend it to couples in the same situation, saying, “Playing badminton gives me exercise and makes my body and mind comfortable.”

This event, co-hosted by Goyang Special City and Yonhap News, is the 13th this year, and about 370 players and their families are expected to participate.
