A benchmark in the world of badminton from Ourense, the Club Athlos continues with its project of formation and promotion of the sport of the shuttlecock and racket. Through a perfectly structured youth academy and constant work over many years, the Ourense-based club has been awarded the best absolute team award thanks to the excellent results obtained during 2022.
During the 2022 season, Athlos competed with the best clubs at the national level and finished the season in eighth position in the National First Division League, with a positive record of victories.
At the regional level, it was the dominator of the Absolute Galician League, with the victory and the third step of the podium.
Main results of the Athlos Badminton Club in the 2022 season:
- 8th in the National League of the First Division, achieving permanence after a balance of 7 wins and 6 losses, with 51 games won and 40 lost and 183 sets won and 151 lost.
- 8th in the Iberdrola Cup for Women’s Clubs, with Ana Nóvoa named U-17 MVP.
- Champion of the Absolute Galician League with Athlos “A” and 3rd with Athlos “B”.
