Latvian goalie Elvis Merzlikins was in the National Hockey League (NHL) game on Friday, December 2, when the Columbus “Blue Jackets” celebrated their victory in an away game.

“Blue Jackets” won Winnipeg “Jets” 4:1 (2:0, 2:0, 0:1).
Merzlikin has not been on the field since November 15 at home with the Philadelphia Flyers.
Patrik Laine scored two goals for the winners, Gustavs Nykvist and Erik Gudbranson scored one each, while the last goal in the match was mostly scored by Pierre Dubois.
The Blue Jackets are in last place in the 16-team Eastern Conference with 18 points in 22 games.
