meet the ‘Masters’ of the 2022 season – Match Tennis

This Thursday the name of the ‘Master’ was defined in the Grand Slam category, the highest level in this amateur circuit.

The 2022 season has officially ended for the largest community of tennis fans in Colombia. Although the last stop on the regular calendar – made up of 10 tournaments – took place on November 26 and 27, it still remained to meet the ‘Masters’ of the Circuito Match Tenis by Wilson.

This stage of the circuit brought together the eight best players in each category -according to the general ranking- and four guests who were taken into account thanks to their performance and perseverance throughout the season. As it happened in the previous tournaments, the protagonists had to overcome the phase of round robin to then advance to the final instances.

Next, we review the names of the finalists and champions in each category:

  • Future Category – 5ᵃ

???? Alejandro Hoyos

Final result: 6-4, 6-2

  • Challenger Category – 4th

???? Julius the Great

???? Camilo Andrade

Final result: 6-3, 6-0

  • Grand Slam Category – 3rd

???? Julian Alvarado

???? Nicolas Gomez

Final result: 6-4, 4-6, 10-1

Consequently, each of the ‘Masters’, Juan Saavedra, Julius the Great y Julian Alvarado had the opportunity to choose the Wilson racket model that best suited their game, while finalists Alejandro Hoyos, Camilo Andrade and Nicolás Gómez won a back pack Wilson as a prize.
